Trainer Tip of the week: Proper Hamstring Stretch

 

What will this do for me? Correctly stretching your hamstrings can help with soreness when done after your workout! Breathing when you’re sitting in your stretches will be the key to get the most out of your stretches, and this one in particular requires more activation than just the hammy’s!

Trainer Tip of the week: Roll out the bottoms of your feet!

What will this do for me?
If you have any back pain or tight hamstrings, rolling out the bottom of your foot may relieve some of your muscle tension! Try this simple hamstring flexibility test (featured in the video), roll out for one minute on each foot and RE-test yourself- let us know how ya feel! #MotivationalMonday (WOW sorry for the excessive posts this morning 😅)

Being that motivation comes from within us, SELF-CARE IS SO IMPORTANT! Read that again. One more time. Self-care doesn’t HAVE to mean going to a spa and getting a massage or relaxing with a glass of wine. These things are absolutely options, but if that’s not your thing, what about going to the gym? Or even simply going for a walk? Or getting up a little bit earlier to have some time to relax in the morning before you start your day?

Take a look at this list and start getting motivated in different ways! Find what works best for you 😊😊

#MotivationalMonday – it’s that time again! ☀️
 
Fad diets are all the rage lately. Cutting out entire food groups isn’t necessary & working out 6 days a week isn’t necessary! Extreme things like this are at a much higher risk for burn out, and most people end up even further from their goals than when they started!
 
You do not have to be extreme, just be CONSISTENT. Working out 2-3 days per week every week is what will get you on the best healthy schedule. Making sure you’re eating well consistently is what is going to give the best results!! 💪

Appreciation for yourself is a huuuuge part of staying motivated. Can you imagine how hard it would be to do anything productive during your day if you were just bashing on yourself all day?

Show yourself some appreciation no matter where you are in your journey. This means whether it’s the beginning of your fitness journey, the middle, or you’re just about where you’d like to be: every step of your process is there for a reason!😊
