Another tough love quote today- we *alllllll* go through it. The up’s and down’s of motivation. This is ESPECIALLY prevalent in workout schedules!
Losing motivation is a natural thing, but it is definitely a slippery slope once you start consistently using “lack of motivation” as an excuse. Pretty soon the excuse becomes the routine!
Don’t let it become a routine- adopt the mindset of discipline. Really sit down and think about your goals, and how badly you want to get there. Think about 3 weeks ago when you last thought about your goal: did you get there? Were you disciplined enough to stay consistent?
Giving you all something to think about this week^ 😈
Nour has changed her views on working out since she started with us!
“I began at FAST 4 months ago, and since then I have lost 3.5 inches around my belly and I feel so much more confident, strong and energetic! The thing I like most about FAST is the people. Flahive’s is not just a gym; it’s a family. A community of the most supportive and motivating people you could ever meet. Every class is always something new and challenging so you will never get bored with going. I was never someone who was excited with working out, but joining has definitely changed that for me!”
John shows that its never too late to get back on track!
“For someone like me who had become a couch potato in my 50’s, it can be intimidating walking into a fitness facility but FAST made it a piece of cake. I feel great about myself now that I’m back in shape. I am sleeping and eating better, I have a lot more energy, improved strength and flexibility. The best things about FAST are.. the product is outstanding and the results are immediate. Second, the environment is awesome with the best coaches/trainers keeping you motivated and a great facility to work out in. FAST is an extremely welcoming environment and regardless of current conditioning level or weight, everyone is made to feel appreciated and welcome, and I am so happy my wife finally convinced me to join her!”
I have posted something like this before but let this be a reminder that *your body will only go as far as the mind will let it* – this is incredibly important to remember. The fatigue you feel in your muscles is typically perceived as a sign from your brain to stop, but just that extra rep or two to prove your brain wrong feels so damn good 💪
Your mind is a tricky thing, and it can talk you into or out of a lot of things; when it comes to taking care of yourself (working out, eating right, etc) you can easily convince yourself to take the easy way out: staying in bed, grabbing for the junk food..
I cannot say this enough: TAKE THE HARD WAY SOMETIMES; you’ll thank yourself later 😉
