Did you eat/drink way more than you wanted to over this past Memorial Day weekend?
That’s totally okay if you did!
After a binge, it is very common to feel guilty but it is not worth spending your time worrying about it. The damage has already been done and cannot be changed so, move on and get back on track!
There are three things you can do right away to get yourself back on track after a holiday binge and reverse the damage:
- Start pounding the water – All the high sodium foods and booze you consumed over the weekend throw your body’s fluid balance out of whack and can cause a hangover type feeling (even if you didn’t drink heavily). Start hydrating your body so you can replace all the fluids your body lost. Try to drink around 90-120 0Zs of water.
- Fruits and veggies – your body is most likely hurting for nutrients and what better way to replenish it then with fruits and vegetables? They’re low calories and fill you up fast – add a serving of each with all your meals.
- Workout – Working out will help you sweat out all those toxins from the alcohol and get your metabolism revved up again and running for the next few hours.
There you have it! Try these 3 things the next day and keep your chin up! Slip ups happen – its what you do the next days/weeks after to get back on track that count.
